Groth, Makarenko, Kaiser & Eidex is pleased to announce that attorney Jessica Devins has been promoted from Associate to Senior Associate. This promotion reflects her consistent hard work and the strong contributions she has made since joining the firm in 2023.
In her new role, Jessica will be part of the team led by partner Kevin James, where she will take on additional responsibilities and continue to support the firm’s clients in the areas of auto and premises liability defense.
“Jessica’s promotion reflects GMKE’s commitment to help our associates succeed with training and guidance,” said managing partner Joseph Kaiser. “Internal promotions are an important part of our professional growth program.”
Since graduating from law school in 2020, Jessica gained diverse legal experience. She served as in-house counsel at a national residential asset management company and acquired additional legal skills in the areas of insurance defense, tort litigation, family law, insurance coverage, and complex civil litigation.
Jessica holds a J.D. from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from The University of Georgia. She is fluent in Spanish and in 2023 earned a Spanish-English legal interpretation certificate from The University of Georgia. While in law school, she received the CALI award for the highest grade in Labor Law.
Jessica is a native of Atlanta and now lives in Gwinnett County. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, hiking, listening to true crime podcasts, hanging out with her family, and spending time with her dogs and cat.
