About Philip
Philip was raised in Suwanee, Georgia. He completed his undergraduate studies in Economics at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2010, graduating with highest honors. Philip earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia’s College of Law in 2013 while on a Law School Association Scholarship.
Philip began his legal career as an assistant public defender at the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office in Northwest Georgia. During his eleven-year tenure, Philip handled all stages of criminal litigation. He gained jury trial experience and extensive appellate experience while representing clients charged with serious felonies. Philip used his extensive knowledge of the law and strong attention to detail to obtain the best possible results for his clients both at trial and on appeal.
Philip joined Groth, Makarenko, Kaiser & Eidex as an associate attorney in June of 2025. His practice focuses on auto and commercial transportation defense. He handles defense in both personal line and commercial cases that involve truck and motor common carriers. He is admitted to practice before all State Courts in Georgia. Philip is a member of the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association and the Torts and Insurance Practice Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
Philip lives in Suwanee, Georgia and enjoys fly fishing and cooking.
