Nathan Chong, Esq.

After growing up in Gwinnett County, Dae-Jin Nathan Chong attended Presbyterian College (PC) in Clinton, South Carolina, on a baseball and an academic scholarship. There, he was an elected captain, and in 2013 was Baseball America’s 23rd ranked prospect in the State of South Carolina. He was recruited for the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft by the Angels, Blue Jays, Braves, Cubs, Nationals, Orioles, Pirates, Rangers, Rays, Reds, Rockies, Twins, and Yankees. Nathan graduated from PC cum laude, receiving a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in history.

During law school at Georgia State University, Nathan was a CALI Award recipient and received the ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Health Law. He also worked in the HeLP Legal Services Clinic, was an elected member of the Moot Court Executive Board, was a Pupil of the Bleckley Inn of Court, and was elected President of the Asian American Law Students Association. Nathan also gained experience working in-house as a legal intern at a Fortune 10 company.

Nathan joined Groth, Makarenko, Kaiser & Eidex in September 2021. During his time at GMKE he has gained valuable first chair trial experience. His practice includes automobile and premises liability defense as well as defense of first party property and casualty claims.

Nathan is a member of the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, the Korean American Bar Association of Georgia, and the Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all Superior and State courts of Georgia, the Northern District of Georgia, and the Middle District of Georgia.

Nathan is a first generation Korean-American who speaks conversational Korean. He loves the Braves and enjoys playing the violin. Nathan resides in Duluth, Georgia.
