About MICHELLE
Michelle was born in Pennsylvania and enlisted in the United States Army after high school to serve as a French horn player. After completing her enlistment, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Saint Leo University and a Juris Doctor from Regent University Law School.
Following law school, Michelle was commissioned as an Army Judge Advocate and served in a variety of assignments throughout the United States and overseas including prosecutor, Special Assistant United States Attorney, and defense counsel, where she gained valuable experience in military and federal courtrooms. She also served several tours in the Pentagon where she supported war crimes prosecutions in domestic and international tribunals and federal litigation involving the detention of enemy combatants. While on active duty, Michelle earned Masters of Law degrees from the Army Judge Advocate General’s School and the George Washington University Law School.
After retiring from the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel, Michelle initially worked at a defense intelligence agency as counsel to the inspector general and then at a defense research, development, and acquisition agency as an associate general counsel. She was also an adjunct law professor at the George Washington University Law School.
Michelle joined Groth, Makarenko, Kaiser & Eidex as an associate attorney in the firm’s St. Simons Island office in March of 2025.
Michelle resides in Southeast Georgia with her husband, Louis, and their pack of three Pembroke Welsh corgis and a mini poodle. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys painting coastal landscapes and working with her husband on their olive farm.
