About John

John earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia in 2003. He then earned a Juris Doctorate from the Regent University School of Law in 2013.

Prior to joining GMKE, John was a prosecutor for 10 years. He gained experience in misdemeanor prosecution as the Assistant Solicitor for Hall County and in felony prosecution serving as the Assistant District Attorney for Hall, Gwinnett, Oconee, and Walton Counties. He also spent two years as a Judicial Staff Attorney in the Hall County State Court under the Honorable Kelley M. Robertson. Outside the practice of law, John has previously worked as a teacher and football and baseball coach at Brookwood High School in Gwinnett County.

John is a member of the E. Wycliffe Orr Sr. American Inn of Court, the Hall County Board of Elections, and the Hall County Republican Party, where he serves as a State Delegate and a 9th District Delegate.

John resides in Gainesville, Georgia. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his kids, running, and playing tennis and golf.
