About Lauren
Lauren is an associate in the firm’s St. Simons Island office. Lauren received her Bachelor of Science in Consumer Economics from the University of Georgia and her Juris Doctor from Mercer University’s School of Law. During her time in law school, Lauren was a member of the William Augustus Bootle Inn of Court, Phi Delta Phi Honor Fraternity, and a Mercer-Oxford Human Rights Scholar. Prior to law school, Lauren worked in the state and federal legislature in Atlanta and on Capitol Hill for Congressman Tom Graves, handling issues related to Georgia’s regulated industries and utilities, and the modernization of Congress.
Lauren’s practice focuses on the defense of automobile claims, first party matters, and premises/general liability claims. Prior to joining Groth, Makarenko, Kaiser & Eidex, Lauren gained experience working at a fellow Georgia-based law firm in the areas of premises/general liability matters and negligent construction on behalf of many businesses and national retailers. In 2024, she was selected by her peers for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch© in the field of Insurance Law in Atlanta.
Lauren is originally from Cedartown, Georgia. She lives on Saint Simons Island and enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and watching SEC football. Go Dawgs!
